battery life

Hello list;  I have been following the posts on this subject, but  
haven't had a good enough connection to send a message out.  I don't  
know why it is, but I get far better battery life when running through  
my internet data card than I get when using my airport wireless.  I  
get over 4 hours from a full charge when using my novatel u720.  But  
when i use wifi i only get about 2 and a half hours or so.  Of course,  
the info is loading faster, so maybe its a break even.  I'm not sure.   
Either way the key is to get a full charge before unplugging and  
running as few apps as possible.  I hope that helps.  Good luck, Max
