unlabeled buttons on pages

Hi all. Does anyone know of any way to know what a button will do on a  
page when the button is not labeled? I had one of these the other day,  
I'm assuming one of them canceled the order I was placing, and the  
other one submitted it. However, I found no way to get the URL for  
these unlabeled buttons, so just took a guess at which one to use.  
Fortunately I guessed right, but is there anything else I can do in  
these situations, besides emailing the web master and asking them to  
fix their site of course.
