Speaking as a Deafblind person who currently uses a braille note, a device like this would be fabulous. I want something which has "instant on". I want something that has keyboard/braille display/ the computer unit itself in one package. I can't just whip out my laptop to access material. I have to take out my Macbook, connect my braille display, then try and find room for both sometimes while on the go. Also I use my braille note as a "communication device." At the grocery store, the coffee shop, the airport, I let the hearing person I'm talking to type into my braille note and then I read the braille. This would be about a million times harder to do with a laptop and braille display.

I would love and could definitely use, a machine like Alex described. I love my Macbook, it is fast, has quite a bit of room, and the amount of functionality it has is just fabulous! However for speed, ease of use in "tight spots", and size I love all-in-one PDA units.
