Hi Rafael,
From what I have seen so far, I'd say that iWork '09, and
particularly Pages, is dramatically better than OpenOffice.org. What
accessibility issues it has are minor, and its usability is extremely
impressive.
Numbers, the spreadsheet app, is trickier, and I haven't delved deeply
enough into it yet to make a decisive analysis. However, based on my
initial observations, I'd say that it is at least as good as the
spreadsheet app in the OpenOffice.org suite, and probably better. It
does require a steeper learning curve though, I believe.
Hope this helps.

Hello,
This e-mail is intended for those of you who have used both open
office and iWorks 9. Can you tell me which is more accessible with
VoiceOver? I have worked a bit in the word-processing application of
Open Office, and although it is accessible (for the most part), it
has its problems (e.g., with lay-out). So, is the word processing
application better in one than in the other? What about the
spreadsheet app? Your thoughts on these issues would be greatly
appreciated.
Cordially,
