Hi Erik,

OK, here's another way to copy the URL of a link under your VoiceOver cursor:

1. VO-Shift-U to have VoiceOver announce the target URL of the link
2. VO-Shift-C to copy the last phrase VoiceOver announced to the pasteboard
3. Command-V to paste the link where you want it

Also, a correction to my answer about using Numpad Commander and pressing "5" to do the control-click. That doesn't work for normal usage because the control key will act as a modifier for the click. This sequence works if you have Sticky Keys turned on, I think. I've just gotten a USB numeric keypad so that I can play with Numpad Commander on my MacBook. It's true that the "5" key on the numeric keypad with Numpad Commander turned on works just like a "hardware click" of pressing trackpad or mouse key (as opposed to a "software click" with VO-Shift-Space). It just doesn't work with the control key pressed down for Control-Click.

Hi Erik,

There is a "Copy Link" option in the context menu under Safari/ WebKit that you can use to save the target URL of a link. This is one of those instances in which you should really be using the WebKit nightly builds instead of Safari to take advantage of the fix to the context menu. If you're using Safari, you'll need to route your mouse cursor to your VoiceOver cursor (VO-Command-F5) and then do a control-click on the link to bring up the contextual menu. The click has to be done with a physical click of the mouse or trackpad key, or else by pressing the "5" key on a numeric keypad if you have Numpad commander activated. If you're using a WebKit nightly build, just use VO-Shift-M to bring up the context menu and select "Copy Link".

Hi guys, I need to link a download into a web site I'm building. Can any one tell me how to make safari save the target URL of a link so I can place the code into my web site? Firefox used to do this from the context menu when I was using windows.

Thanks,
