Hi list,
Recently, I accidentally moved my virtual machine to the trash. Upon recognizing what I'd done, I promptly restored it by copying it from the trash to the virtual machines folder. I then deleted the virtual machine from fusion that pointed to the file in the trash, and emptied it. Everything went fine for the most part, and the newly copied machine is still usable. But, there is still one annoying problem. The VM is windows xp, with vmware tools installed. I also have the option enabled where I can open documents and files either with the mac software or windows. Here's the problem. Whenever I control click on something with finder, and down arrow to open with, I get options as if I had multiple xp machines installed. For instance, when clicking on a word document, microsoft word appears in the open with menu twelve different times. They all have different numbers after them too, such as microsoft word machine xp pro 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. How do I get rid of these excess shortcuts? I don't have anywhere near twelve virtual machines installed. I only have one, so I should only see word, wordpad, etc. in my open with menu once. Does anybody know how to remove the unnecessary options from the open with menu? Also, what could have caused this to occur?

Thanks,
John J Herzog
