If you have not yet seen our beta of 2.0, you ought to try it. The main objective for this new release was to rework the user interface. The new UI is much improved over 1.1.x, and in some ways looks like MSO 2003. I've used all versions of OOo since before 1.0, and 2.0 is great! I can't say that MSO looks any better, really.
