I am delighted with the latest beta version of Impress (1.9.104) and have
been converting
some of my presentations.
I was disappointed however to see that though there are a great number of
set paths for animating
an object there appears to be no way of animating along a Bezier curve.
I have a small animated GIF image of a helicopter which lands on a beach.
None of the set paths
is suitable and I will have to abandon this idea: a shame! It worked well
in 1.1.4 though the animation
didn't work until the helicopter landed.... I tried to conceal this with a
very loud rotor blade noise!
There are several uses I can think of for animation along a path: progress
along roads, a bee buzzing from
flower to flower, the workings of the human body, and so on
Is it intended to have this effect in the final version? I do hope so!
