Problem goes beyond skining or icons but the actual behavior of the
application.
Personally I preffer the tabbed menus and options than the horrible pop-up
menus. I mean why everyone hate pop-ups on the web and love pop-up blocker.
What make you think that this is an enhacemnt when you switch from the browser
to the office space??????
Quoting Bernhard Agthe <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi,
Since I saw the OOo 2.0 Beta I was concerned that the well-known OOo 1.x
user interface has changed. Of course this change is beneficial for all
Ex-MS-Office-Users or other users coming from other Office Suites. On
the other hand for people who are very well-used to the OOo 1.x User
interface this is not so good.
My idea to solve this problem would benefit all: if the Interface was
skin-able or multiple interfaces exist (chosen by the user, defaulting
to the new one - which is much more work load compared to skins)
everyone could decide for himself/herself or even choose a totally new
skin (for example "Kids-Skin" or "Simple-Skin").
May I ask someone who knows the interna of the user-interface if this is
possible?
Please evaluate this idea for the benefit of OpenOffice.org and it's
users ;-)
Ciao,
Berny
