I would advocate more for the higher level of integration between both thena gain I thinnk I just have totally having another concept by talking about an add-on.

I would love to see for example an extension that will support the quick integration for web authoring or an XML-Viewer of the OpenDocument (using gecko). I rememer that for example IE had an edit HTML button that will send you to Frontpage.

How hard will it be to make an add-on that will send you to OOo Web, and use the already available Java extension to open OOo within firefox (IE already have this also under ActiveX).

What I am trying to say is that, openoffice should also be available as a plugin on Firefox. It can also be installed as a separate entity like what we are doing right now. Firefox itself is supposed to run cross platform, right. By having it as a plugin, these tools are now available for for a wider audience who do not want to install additional applications. Moreover, there is people like me who do not what to run several applications, and would like them to run as tabs.

I understand, Google will help, but by putting it into firefox, openoffice can take advantage for the current popularity of firefox.

Possible idea, but that would tie users into Firefox... since OOo runs
on plenty of platforms the benefit is that of cross platform and for
as many people as possible (not just those that use Firefox).

As to running a version of OOo on the internet, this could be possible
in the future based on the recent announcement with google...

I was just thinking, wouldn't it be great if each tool of openoffice
(writer, impress, math, draw) are available individually as an extension
of firefox and available as one of the tabs. Its like you open the
writer tab, impress tab, draw tab etc. When the user clicks on the tab,
all the toolbars change to match the tab selected.
