Joe, you seem to be good in finding bugs. Great! Unfortunately this Mailing list isn't the right place to report a bug. What you can do is to check whether anyone else has experienced the same problem on users@openoffice.org, then - if no one comes up with a sensible explanation for the problem - file the thing in Issuezilla (after checking whether it hasn't been reported before).
