 Eudora (not OSS, but the best client on the market for many years)

 Seamonkey (Mozilla's new incarnation, including mail, web, news, chat
        and, eventually, calendar)

Not a bad idea that, what about a full featured offering like Proper
Outlook then it really will be a full challenge to MSaFt .. especially
if it was a bit like ACT and kept track of contacts etc..
