Also a big part of what Outlook/Notes do happens on the server-side so you need both to learn to talk to exchange/domino (to allow stealth / initial deployments) and provide a replacement server part (to allow pure FOSS deployments, since it's not real useful to provide a notes/outlook replacement if you still have to pay MS/IBM for exchange or domino).
