I don't know what the OP complained about but the OO.o charmap sucks greatly. Under Linux I always use either an enhanced Linux keyboard map which enables typing special characters easily, or the GNOME character map. Under Windows the keyboard is dumb, the OS character map is dumb, and the OO.o stuff is almost useless. So OO.o sucks under Windows for anything but pure ASCII (and yes I know I could use the autocomplete feature from Hell but didn't you notice everyone but english speakers hate it?
