As I already replied to you personally I can't reproduce your problem on load time (thanks for the files). Meanwhile I think the reason is that the document is broken (the links appear as http links). I will try to get that fixed and then report back. I can reproduce the problem when *saving* the document with the embedded images. I already talked to the responsible developers that this is something that needs to be fixed. Would you mind to create an issue (you don't need to attach a file, just mention that when a document with embedded images is saved OOo opens and imports all the images, even the ones that haven't been loaded so far. Then please let us know the issue ID as it seems that your problem created some interest on the list. Thanks for helping us to find this bug.
