It does not work on Macs. You get the bouncer and the message "The download you have chosen is not available." This was reported to the website-dev list on Feb. 23 and still isn't fixed.

I posted a heads-up to the mac porting list and Shaun McDonald (currently project lead) immediately communicated with the website and distribution projects to explain the crux of the problem. The folks who coded the downloads/bouncer pages did not know that on the Mac distro does not/cannot include the JRE. Or something like that. Hopefully with the clear info Shaun provided they will get it right, and hopefully soon. Wtih Macs now comprising as much as 40% of networked users at major universities (can send a link to anyone who disputes this), it will behoove the entire project if everyone involved gains at least a basic familiarty with each platform OOo is produced for. Who knows how many dozens or hundreds of potential Mac users have tried to get OOo in recent weeks, probably never to return.
