Open Office seems to have a fixation on compatibility with Microsoft Word and Excel. For those of us who use or have used Corel WordPerfect and QuattroPro, Open Office is not very useful. QuattroPro especially has changed considerably since version 6 and when I try to open later versions of QuattroPro with Calc I get a blank sheet.
Please give consideration to fixing this blind spot. Until this is done I, for one, do not find Open Office to be of much help since I try to avoid the use of Word and Excel as much as possible. I have many existing files in QuattroPro versions 9-12 and WordPerfect same versions. WordPerfect will usually open in Open Office, but not QuattroPro. Thanks. Reid C. Allen, P.E.
