Hoping to get answers about anything regarding the OOo website from Collabnet is just as pointless as asking a camel to fly a jet. This has been a well known fact for years, it's really a mistery why they still are in charge. But we digress: even if Collabnet all of a sudden became an actual, living hosting provider, and answered this request, would it make any real difference wrt address harvesting, when gmane (or any other nntp server) mirrors these messages? How would you solve that,q except closing any mail-to-newsgroup frontend? Me, I wouldn't care, but all the people who use the newsgroup would scream much more than the occasional person who hasn't realized that this is a public forum.
