AFAIK OpenOffice is -or was- dual-licensed, that's why Sun made the commercial release StarOffice based on OpenOffice.org source code. It's the same reason why Oracle nowadays offers the free Openoffice.org, and "Oracle Open Office" which is the commercial build with support.
