Have anyone managed to put an Open vSwitch inside an ESX host? The most consistent way to do this I found in the internet is by creating a ovs VM to manage all the VM traffic identifying VMs by tagged per-vm VLANs per-host ( http://blog.ipspace.net/2012/02/nicira-open-vswitch-inside-vsphereesx.html). Although this method seems to do the trick, it would be better to install the ovs directly in the ESX host to void another single point of failures and performance hits.
Did anyone manage to do this before?
