Hello Donald That 's a good remark indeed. At this time, the build script is only available from the svn repository. Are you in a hurry or can you wait tomorrow? Best regards, Thierry Boileau -- Restlet ~ Core developer ~ http://www.restlet.org Noelios Technologies ~ Co-founder ~ http://www.noelios.com Hi Thierry, Thank you for this. I have done something similar locally on Restlet 1.1.0 and included a backport of the Simple and Jetty as a proof of concept. We are currently deploying Restlet in a Servlet on WebSphere 6.0. (hence the need for JRE 1.4.2). This is working for us although obviously we would prefer to use an "official" backport rather than the one we are using. I am currently having problems configuring (an old version of) SVN to use a proxy and consequently cannot download the Restlet source via SVN from work. Is there a way I can download the entire source as a zip bundle including ant script etc? If there is not I can download it at home and bring it into work but I thought I would ask anyway. Regards Donald. The backport of some extensions still fails however. You can have a look at this RFC => http://restlet.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=648 Best regards, Thierry Boileau -- Restlet ~ Core developer ~ http://www.restlet.org Noelios Technologies ~ Co-founder ~ http://www.noelios.com Hello Donald, The build script available in the Restlet distributions allows a backport with Retrotranslator which has been preferred (one year ago) for its more complete support of JDK1.5 classes. You can have a look at the build.properties file and set the following properties : - backport: true - jdk1.4-home: <the root path of the jdk1.4> I've just I've updated retrotranslator and tried the backport, and I notice that some classes are not converted, because they are not part of JDK1.4. In case we are not able to find the missing libraries, it means that some features won't be available. I've entered an RFC for this issue: http://restlet.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=648 Best regards, Thierry Boileau -- Restlet ~ Core developer ~ http://www.restlet.org Noelios Technologies ~ Co-founder ~ http://www.noelios.com Hi all, Restlet requires JDK 1.5. We are limited to running on jre 1.4. I am downgrading the libraries using RetroTransformer. Has anyone tried this? Does it work? What should I watch out for?
