Hi Trudy, As already reported, available Restlet/GWT versions do not work with GWT 2.2 due to a breaking API change in GWT. Upcoming Restlet 2.1 M3 (or recent 2.1 snapshots) work with GWT 2.2 but not with previous GWT versions.

(I've sat through Eclipse downloading 50% of the same thing 7 times in 48 hours, Grrrr.) After two days without getting anywhere I finally stumbled upon the thread [ Restlet 2.1-M2 and GWT 2.2.0 ] http://restlet.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=4447&dsMessageId=2709227 Here's the background . . . I've been trying to get some results with your "First Application" tutorial but have become completely entangled in (I think) incompatibilities. I'm using : Java version: 1.6.0_18 Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_18-b07) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.0-b13, mixed mode) Default locale: en_US, platform encoding: UTF-8 OS name: "windows xp" version: "5.2" arch: "amd64" Family: "windows" I'm running a completely fresh installation of eclipse-java-helios-SR2-win32-x86_64 with : - Google App Engine for Java 1.4.2 SDK Bundle for Eclipse 3.6 v1.4.2.v201102111811 - Google Web Toolkit 2.2.0 SDK Bundle for Eclipse 3.6 v2.2.0.201102111811 - Google Plugin for Eclipse 3.6 v2.2.0.v201102111811 On top of that I ran these RESTlet installations : restlet-gae-2.0.5.exe (2011-02-10 15:09) restlet-gwt-2.0.5.exe (2011-02-10 15:09) restlet-jse-2.0.5.exe (2011-02-10 15:09) (It seems pretty obvious Google's 2.2.0 release does *not* work in 64-bit Helios, but that's nothing to do with you guys.) The actual error I get is this: Caused by: java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError: Found interface com.google.gwt.core.ext.typeinfo.JClassType, but class was expected But it happens inside the Serialization class, not in the ContactResourceProxy class as mentioned in the other post.
