Hi everyone,
I'm planning to spend this week bringing our MediaWiki installation up
to date and making various improvements all around.
Currently, MediaWiki for SYN/HAK runs version 1.21.0rc5, which is a
release candidate version. I would like to be on the most current,
stable, supported version of MediaWiki if at all possible. As of today,
the current version is 1.22.0. Input from anyone knowledgeable about
running MediaWiki sites would be appreciated. Should we find reasons not
to update to 1.22.0, our fallback action-plan is updating to 1.21.3, the
most recent version of the 1.21.x branch.
Additionally, I would like to make the following under-the-hood
improvements to our MediaWiki installation:
* Remove the LocalS3Repo Extension and replace it with this[1]
extension. It appears to be more actively maintained, and might
actually work.
* Install the NoTitle[2] extension, which will allow us to remove the
unnecessary "Main Page" text from the top of the main page.
Input on anything would be appreciated.
