Apparently History Fund in Ohio is a thing I did not know about before. And my take home from it is - in time - visit all the recipients of the monies and check on their projects in person, well analog ones any way :) How cool! Even today historical things get donations from tax payers; great support in 2013 and 2014 Also, Summit County Historical Society is planning things _now_ for Akron's Bicentennial in 2025: http://www.ohio.com/news/summit-historical-group-preparing-for-akron-s-200th-birthday-gets-money-from-taxpayers-via-tax-check-off-1.470393 Wow -- just wow!
