Now that is realistic useable wisdom. Thanks Let me chew on that and jiggle
some CF developers ears.

I guess now would be a time for any experienced developers out there that
could spend a little time on this project for a humbling hourly rate send me
an email off list with your rate quote and a brief description of skill
level.

I put this on jobs too.

Robert if you have no other option you might consider hiring an
experienced developer for 8-16 hours and have them come on site and
help you do some of the coding and specification of the project. This
will give you a great window in the project and possibly even allow
you to accomplish a good amount of the work. If the work doesn't get
done the day or two you would spend with an experienced developer
working to solve a particular problem can be worth weeks of time in a
classroom environment. And if it doesn't get done you would at least
have a great idea of the scope and time requirements and skill level
required to get the rest of it done. In your case and with a limited
budget even if you never do more than the initial 8-16 hours of
consultation I think it could help. This will also help you balance
getting things done, done right, and done on time.

I also like to tell people do you want it: done, done and done right,
or done and done right and on time? Each one will cost you more ;-)
(The triangle lets you explore the relationship a little better, but
this one can have more impact in casual conversation).
