I see that and it was unchecked.

How will this affect the site?

Will users have problems?

I have to stop and start the CF service for this to work so I am awaiting a response on this before I commit.

Go into the CF admin and set the RDS password and make sure that feature is on...

Security tab > RDS

I wanted to duplicate the error so I closed CF Admin in the terminal session and reopened it and now it does not error.

Probably just a little slow I guess.

Anyways if on the DW client and click Application, Databases, or Bindings etc it still is stuck on RDS login.

And gives that error.

"The server name or address could not be resolved. (note I can hit the page in my browser find with that path)

            Possible reasons:

            1. The URL specified for this site's testing server may be incorrect: http://intranet.motorcyclecarbs.com/

            2. The testing server may be incorrectly configured (for example, ColdFusion may not be running)."

(Note: This is a CF server box)

Any ideas?

I know CF works as I can browse our site

www.motorcyclecarbs.com

and see that it works.

So I think #2 is not the problem.

But I can browse http://intranet.motorcyclecarbs.com/

No problem as well.

this on your local PC?  No IIS?  You are running CF on a different port than 80, probably 8500 or 8300.

Thinking further I opened CF Admin on the web server and got this error:

'Cannot find the file 'http://127.0.01/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm ' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.

Checking the local path I do find in the wwwroot directory "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\CFIDE\administrator\index.cfm"

Hmm... What gives now?

FYI I also saw an error in DW with the same path name.

Subject: [ACFUG Discuss] DW Record set setup struggle

Im in fortas Construction book trying to set up a Record set as on page 89.

Im trying to click Application, Bindings, to associate the database to the site in DW.

All I get in any window in the Application sub tabs all have:

"To use dynamic data on this page:

            1. Create a site for this file.         (checked)

            2. Choose a document type.       (checked)

            3. Set up the sites's testing server

            4. Specify the RDS login information for

                 ColdFusion server.

            5. Create a Coldfusion data source."

Looks like Im stuck on step 3.

Clicking on the link in step 3 opens a "Site Definition for (SiteName) dialogue box and wants me to fill our the TESTING SERVER information.

That info as far as I can tell is correct.

Server model:                            ColdFusion

Access:                                    Local/Network

Testing server folder:                  W:\wwwroot\intranet.motorcyclecarbs.com\

                                                (Our web path in IIS)

Refresh remote list auto  ON

URL Prefix:                                http://localhost/intranet.motorcyclecarbs.com/

The URL Prefix is the location of the site's root folder on the testing server.

I just changed it to http://intranet.motorcyclecarbs.com/ and now #3 check's as done

But now I get another error:

"The server name or address could not be resolved. (note I can hit the page in my browser find with that path)

            Possible reasons:

            1. The URL specified for this site's testing server may be incorrect: http://intranet.motorcyclecarbs.com/

            2. The testing server may be incorrectly configured (for example, ColdFusion may not be running)."

(note: This is a CF server box)

Do I have to tell CF to see this new IIS hosted site I made this AM?

            How where?

Forta says I should be able to click the + sign on the bindings tab and have a GUI called RECORDSET pop up.

Any ideas where to figure out whats going on?
