Has anyone used the method below to save DW settings and sites in order to
port over to a new install? Just want to make sure it works before I try it.

Saving Dreamweaver settings
  _____

I need to reformat my hdd and reload the os and programs. Is there a way to
save all the settings (i.e remote server details and other site and
preference settings) in one place so that they can be easily reintroduced
into Dreamweaver after it has been reinstalled. I couldn't see an
appropriate folder for this in the Dreamweaver Application Data folders.
Thanks.

Dreamweaver
  _____

To save your configuration it has to be done outside Dreamweaver. You want
to backup your configuration files to disk (cd). Go to "Documents and
Settings/main user/Application Data/Macromedia/Dreamweaver 8" (or whatever
version you have) and copy the configuration folder to a cd. Then after
reformating and reinstalling Dreamweaver, replace the configuration folder
with the one you saved.
The main user is the user with the macromedia configuration files in it.
Under Documents and Settings there may be 2-4 users and you want the main
user(the name on mine is HP_Administrator).
