hello, i noticed on the sharism.cc page where I ordered my Ben, there was a badge that said "100% GPL software" with a GNU head. My question is can that really be true considering that an OS comprises many many parts? I know the Ben can run Love game engine, which is MIT licence. Perhaps it is 100% GPL out of the box? also consider this post: http://boards.dingoonity.org/ben-nanonote/(release)-!reader/ I was disappointed at the excitement over a non-free program release (perhaps it is not mainstream?)
I am not saying that not having 100% GPL is bad, only that if it is not true, not to advertise it on sharism.cc (which is very outdated anyways) I chose the Ben because of what I perceived as a commitment to Free (as in freedom) software. GPL is of course only 1 free licence and i am not super-concerned which one it is so long as I have the "4 freedoms" thanks -hack well
