roh,
(I didn't get a conclusive answer on which list to post this to,
so continue cross-posting for now)

I recently assembled my Milkymist One case and here's some feedback:

---1
I found a few small things to improve in the assembly documentation
at
http://projects.qi-hardware.com/index.php/p/m1/source/tree/master/cad/milkymist-assemble-howto.svg
Is this the location of the original? Unless you tell me otherwise,
I will make and commit improvements there.

---2
Part list says "8x screw (black)", but I noticed there seem to be
2 sets of 4 black screws, one a little shorter, and one a little
longer. The shorter ones go to the bottom, the longer ones go to
the top. Is that correct?

For the next batch I order, can you glue the 3 buttons together on
your side? The documentation doesn't say clearly that they need
to be glued (it says "If necessary, assemble buttons"). I guess
the "If necessary" is there because of plans to glue them on your
end?
There is no glue included, and finding a good glue is also not easy
as the amount of glue needed is hard to get right, otherwise the
button will become too thick, or excess glue will make it not fit
through the button hole. Maybe we should find a 2-side adhesive
film to glue the 3 plastic pieces together nicely?

When removing the protective films from the acrylic, I have leftover
in the enclosed part of a lot of characters that are engraved in
the acrylic. All capital letters: stAnDBy, On, RenDeR, uSB, Out, vgA,
viDeO, lAn, Dc, Dmx, miDi, Rx. A total of 18 characters. Maybe I
can remove those leftover film pieces with a tweezer? I guess it's
a result of the laser cutting through the acrylic and protective
film on top of it. Do you have any ideas how to improve this? Do
we need to manually clean this up with tweezers (I'm a little
worried to scratch the acrylic with tweezers, maybe there is a
better way?).

---5
The feet are nice, but I think it would be cool to have a few spare
feet in case some are lost. If we add an extra 4 feet, that would also
let people use the feet on both sides if they want to stack something.
I understand the feet are expensive (18 EUR cents / piece?), can you
give me the exact brand and model number? Should we try to source
different feet?

---6
I am still wondering whether the top and bottom acrylic parts are
interchangable, or whether you think one of them is the definitive
bottom part, and the other one the definitive top part. The holes
are not symmetric, and it seems there is a slight angle on the side
of the cut (there is a difference between the top side where the
laser cut into the acrylic, and the side that was at the bottom when
it was lasered).
That means when assembling the case, looking from the side you will
see something like (1)
\
/
or something like (2)
/
\
depending on which part is top or bottom. Should we define one of them
to be 'the right one'? I think I personally like (2) better, that's how
I assembled mine...

Other than those little things, the case is spectactular and I think
this whole direction has huge merits for the future.
THANKS FOR YOUR GREAT WORK!
Cheers,
Wolfgang
