I saw those, a while back--but my wife, it turns out, does not like crochet :\ I ended up getting her the Sony case, which actually fits nicely-- even with headphones attached: it has a dual-zipper closure, which I hadn't noticed, which can be zipped from both sides to hug the headphone-cable. There's a pleat on the inside (just behind the zipper) to prevent the zipper from marring the NanoNote, and some `ribbon' segments in the sides of the opening (this makes more sense if you see it...) so that the NanoNote can slide in and out easilybut still be secure when the zipper is undone. Oh--and it comes with a carabiner clip for attachment to a belt-buckle or such. I also ended up getting a Lowepro `Volta 20' case for my own NanoNote: it's quite similar to the Sony case, except it has a hard shell, a belt-loop on one side, and it has a *little* more room inside (along with a pocket) that makes stowing earbud headphones just a bit easier. Both cases seem to be just `slippy' enough that they should not cause problems by pulling at the rubber feet, though they're just `grippy' enough that the NanoNotes don't seem likely to slide out unless we want them to. Now we're a happy NanoNote family :) > On May 4, 2011, at 7:13 AM, Joshua Judson Rosen wrote: > > I just ordered a NanoNote as a present for my wife, following > development of a music-player setup that made her jealous of mine..., > and I'd like to include some sort of carrying-case in the package; > I went to a local Best Buy store and looked at cases intended for > other things (mainly cases for small cameras), and found that > the only one that really seems to fit at all was a Sony Cybershot > `Bloggy' zip-case, and I'm wondering... what do other people use > to carry their Bens? > > Part of the motivation is that I expect my wife to just `throw it > into her purse', where there are lots of things dangerous to a > shiny-beautiful object like Ben (like key-rings...); the other > part is that, after six months of just carrying mine in my > jacket-pocket, I appear to have accumulated a little bit of dust > inside the screen (eek!), and I'd like to find some way of > preventing that from happening for my wife (and preventing it > from getting worse, for me!). > > Originally, I was thinking that I'd like to get her some sort > of `hard shell' case, or maybe some sort of leather (or leatherette) > enclosure.
