Maybe enabling parallel builds would be the first step to speed up the
build host. CPU speed over time looks like a log() function recently.
Openwrt trunk's parallel build support seems to work fine (it enables
parallel compilation within each package, for packages which are known
to build properly this way).

I enabled it here a while back for my test builds, though I don't know
how many packages would fail when running through config.full_system.
