I have written a *Request for Comments* (RFC) for xkbcommon. Xkbcommon
https://xkbcommon.org/ is an ubiquituous library for handling of keyboard
descriptions on *nix system. The RFC proposes to introduce a new kind of
configuration files to simplify multiple use cases.
