I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but you can use normal jsp code within 
the <display:table> declaration of my code, which let's you do almost 
anything you can think of including dynamic columns. I've checked my code 
in under the displaytag/table-york module. It's not completely compatible 
with the existing tag, but it does everything that most people need...I 
think! :)
