Thanks Justin. Got it working. Just out of curiosity, how are these
parameters mapped? I was trying to dig the source code but got lost..if you
get a chance can you brief this for me..

Thanks again ..DisplayTag rocks..

Try {4} and {5} for the paging.banner.some_items_found. E.g.

paging.banner.some_items_found=<center><span class="pagebanner">Page {4}
of {5}</span></center>

{5} & {6} are applicable for paging.banner.(full|first|last|onepage)
only.

Looks like the documentation has already been updated. Nice work
displaytag team.

Justin,
Thanks for your response. I got the nightly build. and in my properties
I changed

paging.banner.some_items_found=<center><span class="pagebanner">Page {5}
of {6}</span></center>

Because, I just want to replace the first line of message with the above
one. My properties for paging.banner.(full|first|last|onepage) would
include buttons for "First, Prev, Next, Last". I got them working. But
when I use the above property, the JSP just displays like..

Page 2 of {6}

I am still on first page and it displays Page 2 and it also doesn't
display the total number of pages.

Not sure if I picked everything in what you said..am I missing
something. I just got the nightly build JAR file and replaced in my
workspace..

appreciate your help

Thanks
GNan

Gnan,

Fabrizio was kind enough to add this functionality into the main line
for us. I sync'd the project this morning and the change is in 1.13 of
the Pagination class. I have not checked yet, but I would imagine this
is the latest snapshot. After I get a fresh cup of coffee, I'm going to
go grab it. The current page is now {5} and the total pages is {6} in
the paging.banner.(full|first|last|onepage) and
paging.banner.some_items_found. I'm using it like this:

<display:setProperty name="paging.banner.full" value="Page {5} of {6}: [
{0} ]" />

<display:setProperty name="paging.banner.first" value="Page {5} of {6}:
[ {0} ]" />

<display:setProperty name="paging.banner.last" value="Page {5} of {6}:[
{0} ] " />

HTH,
Justin

Jason,

I am looking at the exact functionality as you are looking for. My
requirement is to display "Page 1 of 5" and then the links for "First,
Prev, Next, Last". I tried different things but couldn't get that "Page
1 of 5" working..you said you figured it out..can you tell me what you
did, or if possible a sample code..

thanks for your help
Gnan

Justin,

Yah, I think I see what you're saying. My layout is
like so:

17 items found, displaying 1 to 10. [First / Prev] 1,
2 [ Next / Last]

However, I do not have 'Page 1 of 3' as you're saying,
so it seems like your approach is probably correct.
Sorry I misunderstood.

As far as Chasing Amy, if only that were true - I
wouldn't be developing for a living. Heh, get that one
all the time now.
