I'm afraid there isn't enough information here for me to figure out what the
problem is or what is going on.

I *may* be able to offer some help if you describe the situation that works
and the behaviour the display tag exhibits in that case, including the URLs
of the paging links, and if you do the same for the situation that doesn't
work as you expect.

The pagination is correctly displayed. However when I click on the next
page or a page number, the parameters that were there the first time (looks
like my query parameters ) are now gone and all I see is:

http://localhost:8080/searchContacts.do?d-49653-p=2

as opposed to:

http://localhost:8080/searchContacts.do?country=&d-49653-p=2&contactType=Boa

I don't completely understand the problem. What exactly do you mean by
"pagination info is now lost"? Do you mean that the pagination banner is
incorrectly displayed, or that the page selection the user previously made
is lost, or something else altogether?

have a struts application that uses displaytag to display the results of a
search. The user types search parameters into a form and then the results
are displayed on another jsp using displaytag. The first time the user
performs a search, displaytag shows the pagination correctly. Then the user
may click on a link in the results table and open a particular record. When
the user closes that record, the search is performed again and the results
displayed in displaytag. However the second time the search is run,
pagination info is now lost.

The first search is performed by retrieving the search criteria from a form.
The second search is performed by retrieving the search criteria from the
session where it is saved in a bean.

So my question is how does displaytag build the pagination info and why
would it be losing it on the second search?

Many thanks for any help!
