If you want a minimal stress test to report to Sun, try looking through the archives for previous mails about it. The problem was that Sun c++ fails on code that uses templates and is separately preprocessed. If that is in fact the bug, it should be straightforward to reproduce -- but possibly hard to fix, if their template expansion is tangled with cpp.
