Mike,

DMUCS (dmucs.sourceforge.net) does this. It doesn't "redistribute" work, but when a node gets busy (due to compilations or other computing being done on the shared node), it makes sure that distcc avoids that node for a while, until the load average on that node drops down again.

Hi,

Does distcc currently support redistributing work(i.e. so that if slave node is not busy, it can pick up work from a busy slave node)?

Thanks,
Mike
