The problem is that "2.1.0-rc2" > "2.1.0" > "2.1.0rc2", as "-" is most commonly used in versions to denote a post-release patch or port, whereas a plain "rc" is normally a pre-release candidate. Use "easy_install CherryPy==2.1.0" to get the exact release.
