Folks:

I pointed easy_install at this server:

http://allmydata.org/trac/tahoe/wiki/PackageMirror

This is very cool because the files are stored on a secure, decentralized storage grid. (Details on http://allmydata.org , especially http://allmydata.org/~zooko/lafs.pdf .)

However, sometimes easy_install issues an HTTP GET request for a file with "?t=info" tacked onto the end. http://pypi.python.org and apache ignore that query arg and just serve up the file, but the tahoe web server just so happens to use ?t=info for something else (the "More Info" links on the directory listing there), so this request fails to serve up the file.

My question is: why does easy_install append "?t=info" to the end of those requests?

Regards,

Zooko
