But to actually use distribute you need to depend on it somewhere, obviously. The latest bootstrap behaves itself wonderfully. So: once we have new zc.buildout + bootstrap it ought to be safe to change all buildouts without inconveniencing anyone. I'm still not 100% sure whether it is safe to put "distribute" in the install_requires list of a package right now, however.
