Absolutely! As it turns out, I was wrong anyway. Checking the issue list at https://bitbucket.org/pypa/pypi-metadata-formats/issues?status=new&status=open&component=Metadata%202.x shows there is still at least the recommendation to use SPDX tags that I'd like to add to PEP 459.
