I think I figured it out. A server’s hard disk was filled with temp
files because of a bug in software that wasn’t cleaning up on failure.
I’ve deployed the fix for that software and cleaned up the temp files.

There likely won’t be a backfill of data, we have the raw data but
things aren’t set up to easily handle backfills.
