I agree wholeheartedly; on the other hand if this wiki becomes remotely
popular, it will be hammered with spam. I've seen the Atom and
Codehaus' wikis utterly trashed by spam in the last year; even C2 has
had severe problems and that has a large and dedicated community - they
believd they could keep it clean faster than the spammers could wreck
it, which turned out to be not the case. Please do not underestimate
the amount of work a community has to do to keep a wiki straight  -
it's more like farming than gardening.

I'm responsible for the Jython wiki, which runs on MoinMoin. We set
that up so that you had to be logged into edit and that has worked
well. IME if you let the potential community know what you're doing
around editing and why, it's not a problem.
