Can we (committers) please get in the habit of still describing the fix
when it's back-ported to a branch. Otherwise it's going to be relatively
uninformative to read the commit log of the 1.0.X branch, since it will
contain almost no actual information -- everything will be an indrect
reference and require reading some other changeset in another branch.

Copying-and-pasting the original commit message, whacking [1.0.X] on the
front and maybe a reference to the original commit on the end shouldn't
be too time-consuming.
