Just as a point of order, this is *exactly* what happened with the
smart if tag: I was against it, and then designers told me to STFU,
and I did.

Of course, as a general principle, Jeff's completely right that we
need to be doing a better job listening to the things designers need
from us. We did that very well early-on, and it helped Django become
better.
