You compare django to cakePHP. You compare a django based cms (django-cms or maybe pinax) to joomla You compare python to php. You can't compare a framework to a cms it doesn't make any sense. It's like damn this car sure gets me to the grocery store faster than this 1 ton block of steel. But yeah this is better placed on django-users once you think about what you are really asking.
