Hi folks -- I'm sitting here in a hotel room, after day 4 of a 5-day Django class I'm teaching for a client. This is something I've been doing a fair bit of over the last few years, and tonight I took the opportunity to pull together some of my notes on what sorts of things people struggle with as they try to learn Django.
I thought perhaps some people here might find this interesting, so: https://gist.github.com/jacobian/4958026 As I note in the document, this is observational, not argumentative. I'm not making any arguments about what Django should or shouldn't be doing; I'm simply noting where the road gets bumpy for the people I've worked with.
