Now that Magic Removal is almost ready for a merge to trunk
(http://groups.google.com/group/django-users/browse_thread/thread/68845b08e6892b09),
it's time to test if everything in the admin interface gets translated.
I found a few problems:
1. Translation of the module name on te frontpage of the admin
interface. I understood this should be done in the __init__.py file,
like this:
from django.utils.translation import gettext_noop
gettext_noop('my module name')
When running make-messages.py, I can see the string appear in the PO
file. But the Admin interface still uses the untranslated string.
2. The text for the filter interface for ManyToManyField doesn't get
translated.
Perhaps this posting should be in django-developers or django-users,
but I thought it's i18n related so that's why it's here.
3. All the texts in the datetime/date/time widget in the admin
interface.
4. The verbose_name of the user permissions field and the groups field
of the user model should be set. (and a little usability issue here:
the groups field should have a filter_interface, just like the
permissions)
5. The verbose_name of the permissions field of the group model.
I'll be happy to help and solve them, they are all real bugs. Please
test and confirm. The rest of the admin interface seems to be i18n
ready, as far as I can see.
