Giving these settings (no LocaleMiddleware installed):
USE_L10N = True
USE_I18N = True
LANGUAGE_CODE = 'da'
a pub_date model field defined as:
pub_date = models.DateTimeField()
a template content:
{{ product.pub_date|date:"SHORT_DATE_FORMAT" }}
I get rendered:
15.06.2010
In other words, I'm not able to reproduce the issue you have. Can you provide a
testcase derived from your code which demonstrates it?
Thanks,
Jannis
