#17478: Overridding model formset queryset in BaseModelFormSet ---------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Reporter: contact@… | Owner: nobody Type: Bug | Status: new Component: Forms | Version: master Severity: Normal | Resolution: Keywords: | Triage Stage: Ready for checkin Has patch: 1 | Needs documentation: 0 Needs tests: 0 | Patch needs improvement: 0 Easy pickings: 0 | UI/UX: 0 ---------------------------+--------------------------------------------- Changes (by charettes):
* stage: Accepted => Ready for checkin Comment: I would have preferred to document setting `kwargs.setdefault('queryset', Author.objects.filter(name__startswith='Charles'))` but, as pointed out by @tomaszswiderski, this wouldn't work if `queryset` is passed as an arg. I always thought it was a bit odd that a `ValidationError` raised on instantiation while all the other form API classes wait for validation before sanitizing data anyway. All tests pass on Python 2.7.4/3.3.1 SQLite3.
